Luis is the founder and Managing Partner of Lead Professionals Executive Search. Luis’ company was founded with a vision Luis had to offer national and global corporations a personalized, unique and robust search service that would assist a company’s need for a strategic hire.
Luis has a history of accomplishment within the talent solutions business. After graduating from Virginia Tech with a degree in Business Information Technology, Luis worked as a Financial Analyst and then went on to join Apex Systems in DC where he eventually became a Branch Manager for this 8th largest IT US staffing firm. He moved to Miami to open their office in South Florida.
Since that time, Luis has worked in the executive search industry for many years and established Lead Professionals in 2008. Luis currently serves as a Board member for the MIT Enterprise Forum in South Florida. He is active with many Hispanic organizations and is proud that his firm is a minority owned business.

Mark Young is in charge of business development and search execution in the U.S. and Canada within a broad range of industries. Over 30 years, he has successfully conducted searches for clients in financial services and wealth management, technology, agri-business, supply chain and logistics and not-for-profit entities including foundations.
His background in retained executive search consulting includes serving as Vice President at A.T. Kearney Inc. for seven years in Miami and heading the Florida executive search practice of KPMG Peat Marwick in Miami for six years. Prior to that, Mr. Young was President of National Executive Consultants Inc., a retained executive search boutique firm in Atlanta, Ga. He also spent four years in the search business in Montreal, Canada. He has conducted search engagements internationally, including engagements in the United Kingdom, France, Chile, Brazil, Haiti, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, Jamaica and Canada. He has fulfilled searches for most senior level functional positions and successfully conducted searches for minority candidates.
Active with the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Young has served on the Senior Executive Orientation Committee, is a member of the Trustees and in 2008 was distinguished as a member of The Chairman’s Circle. He also was an active Campaign Board member of the United Way of Broward County. Additionally, he served as a Board Member of the Urban League of Broward County, Board Member for Camillus House in Miami and Board Member of Take Stock In Children.

Ted bring more than 25 years of executive healthcare and life science management experience to Lead Professionals and serves as the head of our practice segment. He has served in a number C-Level management positions for a wide array of healthcare organizations and has provided unique insights and strategies to many companies. This includes manufacturers, distributors and providers of healthcare products and services as well as a number of prominent private Equity/Venture Capital firms looking to expand their presences in the dynamic and evolving healthcare and life science sectors.
A clinical pharmacist by training, Ted has consistently demonstrated a unique set of skills to each client. His capacity to understand and relate to the specialized needs of healthcare focused organizations gives the client a broad based expert to insure they obtain the best and most diverse talent available. In addition, his ability to assess current and emerging trends within the healthcare marketplace, permits his clients to proactively meet the challenges of the ever changing healthcare landscape.

Ramses Maldonado is a PMP, ITIL and PRINCE2 certified senior project manager with more than 15 years of hands-on experience in planning, implementing and closing complex, large scale technology projects for Fortune 500 Enterprise companies in the United States, the Caribbean and Latin America. Maldonado built his career at Verizon, where he held several project manager positions and lead teams working on business solutions for large scale clients such as Capital One, Kaiser Permanente, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the State of West Virginia and Mapei. More recently, Maldonado was involved in the creation and implementation of a Strategic Program Management Office (SPMO) to oversee a large scale project portfolio.
A native Spanish speaker, Maldonado has managed multilingual and multicultural teams across the United States and Latin America. Because of his industry knowledge and cultural expertise, he was invited to assist Verizon with recruiting efforts at trade events and professional organization conferences.
Maldonado began his career with Verizon as part of former GTE’s highly competitive Management Development Program. Through the program, he held several management positions in key business units of the company in three different states: Florida, Missouri and Texas.
Due to his experience, he has been invited to conduct Project Management trainings in the U.S. and Central America. Currently, Maldonado serves as the Vice President of Programs on the board of the South Florida Project Management Institute and has been an active board member for the past 5 years. He earned a master’s in project management from the George Washington University School of Business and his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad Politecnica de Puerto Rico. Also, in 2001 he participated in the Verizon International Management Program at the Moore School of Business in South Carolina.
